What is OnePitch?
OnePitch is a digital-first angel investment network. Instead of monthly pitch dinners limited to investments in your city, OnePitch facilitates collaborate diligence and investing in the best deals with no geographic boundaries. Its mission is to create a transparent investment process and increase access to deals and more easily connect capital to entrepreneurs, no matter the location.
How does the community bring in deals?
Investors in the community will bring deals. Those who bring deals to the community become the Lead Angel on that deal, and earn a 10% carry on all returns on that deal.
How is diligence done?
The OnePitch community has a collaborative and transparent diligence process. Anyone in the community has access to pitch materials and documents, and can ask questions in the community that other angels can respond to. The Lead Angel can also bring questions back to the entrepreneur, and bring the answers back to the community
Are there opportunities to speak to the entrepreneurs?
The Lead Angel will coordinate with the entrepreneur to set up a Zoom pitch, where OnePitch members can join and ask questions about the company directly to the entrepreneur. All pitches are recorded and can be watched at anytime by the community.
Do I need to be an accredited investor to join OnePitch?
Yes. For most individual investors to qualify as accredited investors, they need an annual income of $200,000 (or $300,000 combined with their spouse) or a net worth (including their spouse's net worth but excluding the value of their primary residence) of $1 million.
What is the investment process?
We partner with AngelList to facilitate the investments, and open the investment once the community is ready.
Does OnePitch take any fees?
OnePitch takes a X% carry on deals facilitated through the platform, as well as a Y% administrative fee on the investment.
Is there any cost to being in the community?
Currently there is no charge to investors to join.
What are the community guidelines?
Be kind to each other. There's no need to be mean, rude, offensive, or political.
Keep discussions relevant. This is a community about investing, and startups.
Keep what you hear to yourself. This is a private community for investors who are accepted to our platform. In general, we'd love for everyone to be as open and transparent as they want to be, but also we need to respect the information startups are trusting us with.
